Dr Andrew Maclean Pagon Md PhD

Senior Consultant Psychiatrist & (Entheogenic) Psychotherapist & Hypnotherapist, cannabis physician, medical acupuncturist and herbalist providing unique professional, integrated, transcultural medical, and psychiatric treatments as well as Ayawaska, wachuma, wilka and other entheogenic plant retreats in Peru.

Dr. Maclean started his shamanic journey with Ayahuasca and other Amazonian and Andean teacher plants in 1992 with the Amazon Amerindian Secoyas in Rio Putumayo region of Colombia. From there he regularly spent time among different Amazon Amerindian tribes starting with Tsachilas, Canelos-Quichua and Shuar, Achuar in Ecuador. After that he moved to Peru where he conducted ethnomedical-botanical research among native Amazonian tribes such as the Ese Eja, Harambut, Huachipaeri, Matchigenga, Yanesha, Ashaninka, Shipibo-Conibo, Kapanawa Awajun and Huambisa for many years.

In the Brazilian Amazon he stayed with the Kashinawa for a year. Dr. MacLean currently has a licensed clinical practice in psychiatry and holistic medicine in Miraflores, Lima, Peru. He also continues to conduct field research in medicinal, purging, diet and entheogenic plants and other natural substances in the coastal, Andean and Amazonian regions of Peru. He is very active within the medical community and has good relationships with university researchers in the Peruvian Amazon.
